We’re fascinated with celebs. After all, they lead glamorous lives that the rest of us can only dream of. At the end of the day, though, they climb into bed and go to sleep just like the rest of us. Or do they?
A quick glance over the sleeping habits of famous people shows that they often live very differently. You can see this for yourself by checking out the infographic below. Here are some of the highlights.
President Donald J. Trump (R-New York) Sleeps for Three to Four Hours a Night
The leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world gets a lot less sleep than most of us. His predecessor, Barack Obama (D-Illinois), only gets around six hours a night. If that’s what it takes to become the US president these days, count me out.
Nor is light sleep anything new for leaders. America’s third president Thomas Jefferson (R-Virginia) only got two hours of sleep a day. American presidents are not alone in getting little sleep, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi only gets 3.5 hours of sleep a night.
Strangely, small amounts of sleep does not affect leaders’ performance. Prime Minister Sir Winston S. Churchill napped for just two hours a day but still managed to win World War II.
Celebs Have Some Weird Sleeping Habits
Lady Gaga is a pop-star who seems to court controversy. She’s anything but conventional, and her sleeping habits reflect this. She sleeps inside her “egg,” which is basically a futuristic version of a sleeping pod.
Tom Cruise, known for his whacky adherence to Scientology, sleeps alone in his so-called “Snoratorium.” Apparently, the star has a serious problem with snoring, so he chooses to sleep in a soundproof room for the benefit of his family and guests.
Mariah Carey sleeps in a room with plenty of humidifiers in it. What is really weird about her sleeping habits, though, is that she is said to sleep 15 hours a day. Talk about sleeping your life away.
